We build our hardwood decks from a variety of popular hardwood timbers including jarrah, blackbutt, spotted gum, ironbark and more. If you want a deck that will last forever (or pretty close to it), then a hardwood deck is the option for you.
Hardwoods are weather resistant, durable and solid. It can be a difficult timber to work with due to the sheer density of the materials, but what it lacks in ease during the construction process, it makes up for with longevity once the job is complete. Not to mention, hardwood timbers are beautiful and full of character. A hardwood deck adds a touch of elegance, and provides an aesthetically pleasing feature to any space. These are the most durable timbers and are also highly resistant to termites, fire, rot and water. If you are building a pool deck we especially recommend a hardwood.
Commencing from the design process, we work with you every step of the way, and can even assist with council approvals where necessary. You might be looking for a deck made of solid hardwood, something that is eco-friendly, or a softwood construction. Whatever it is you decide on, at Hunter Decks we will tailor our options to you, your lifestyle, and your space.
To help you decide on the right deck for you, we have compiled a list of different deck options to consider.
